Participation in the competition for RF Presidential grants for the civil society development

21 November, 2017. The Lake Baikal Foundation for Environmental Applications and Research participated in the tender for RF Presidential grants for the civil society development in 2017. Four applications were sent:
“International scientific tourism on Lake Baikal” – the project is aimed at the development of international research summer schools in the Baikal region;
“Two Shores of Lake Baikal” – the project suggests the establishment of a dialogue and cooperation between pupils and students of the Irkutsk Region and the Republic of Buryatia in the sphere of local lore and ecology;
“To live in harmony with nature” – the project aims to conduct a media campaign involving local communities and tourists in protecting Lake Baikal and the Baikal natural area. The partner of the project is the Interregional Public Organization “The Great Baikal Trail”;
“With a backpack on the trail” – the project is aimed at conducting practice-oriented outdoor lessons for vulnerable groups of children, in order to enrich their knowledge about the nature of the native region and to stimulate a careful attitude to our environment using thematic tools and materials collected in backpack. The Interregional Public Organization “The Great Baikal Trail” is the partner of the project.
The project “With a backpack on the trail” became the winner of the competition and gained support for its implementation in 2018. More information about the competition and the submitted projects you can found on the site of Fund of presidential grants.
