Maria Solovieva, a research fellow at A.N. Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IEE RAS), became a guest lecturer. The scientist was talking about the importance and peculiarities of the research of the Baikal seal population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both toddlers and pupils were listening Maria Solovieva curiously and asked questions. Lecture was followed with the video from the research expedition so that children could better imagine, how research of the Baikal seal is carried out.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lake Baikal Foundation for several years cooperates with A.N. Severstov Institute of Ecology and Evolution as a part of the implementation of the&nbsp;comprehensive scientific&nbsp;Baikal seal Research Program for 2020-2025.We are happy that A.N. Severstov Institute of Ecology and Evolution was able to join this educational event at the Wunderpark International School and discuss with children the topic of the careful attitude to the unique animal of lake Baikal and necessity of its research.
