{"id":8536,"date":"2021-05-28T16:51:37","date_gmt":"2021-05-28T13:51:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/baikalfoundation.ru\/?p=8536"},"modified":"2022-01-13T17:02:37","modified_gmt":"2022-01-13T14:02:37","slug":"vote-for-the-baikal-without-fishnets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/baikalfoundation.ru\/en\/vote-for-the-baikal-without-fishnets\/","title":{"rendered":"Vote for the \u00abBaikal Without Fishnets\u00bb project!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This spring the Irkutsk Regional Environmental Non-Governmental Organization \u00abGlubina Otvetstvennosti\u00bb (IREOO \u00abDepth of Responsibility\u00bb) addressed the Lake Baikal Foundation with an initiative to jointly implement <a href=\"https:\/\/baikalfoundation.ru\/ourwork\/sokhranenie-vodnykh-resursov\/baikal-bez-setei\/\">the \u00abBaikal Without Fishnets\u00bb project<\/a>. The aim of the project is to study the lake for sunken fishing nets, their impact on the Baikal ecosystem, and, if possible, to clean up the lake from them. Employees of specialized institutes will take part in the expedition and the samples obtained will be analyzed in laboratories. Sharing the idea of the project and having read the letters of support in favor of the project from the Directorate of the Baikal National Park and the Baikal Interregional Environmental Prosecutor&#8217;s Office, the Foundation decided to support the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus, the Foundation&#8217;s employees submitted an application for a grant competition for non-profit organizations \u00abSupport Will Come\u00bb, held jointly by Tinkoff Bank and the Foundation \u00abHelp Needed\u00bb to partially cover the costs of this project.
