22 May 2018
The Lake Baikal Foundation for Environmental Applications and Research presented the results of the project on the analysis of CSR activities at Lake Baikal within the framework of the round table «Corporate Social Responsibility: A New Look», which took place on May 21 at the IV International Congress of Young Scientists on Sustainable Development.
The project was initiated by the Lake Baikal Foundation and the Finance University under the Government of the Russian Federation and is dedicated to identifying and analyzing students’ best environmental programs and initiatives implemented by companies within their social responsibility in the Baikal region.
Students of the Financial University were invited to choose companies that implement eco programs on CSR at Lake Baikal, analyze their non-financial reporting according to certain criteria and draw their conclusions and recommendations. Thus, the students were able to immerse themselves in the topic, which is gaining popularity today and is of interest for many target groups.
In total, 12 companies with representative offices in the Baikal region were analyzed. The companies for analysis were chosen by the students themselves.
