Lake Baikal Foundation’s experience presented in Sofia, Bulgaria

On 2 and 3 November 2017 workshop «Promotion of social sustainable frugal innovations in the Black Sea Region» took place in Sofia in the framework of the project «The Black Sea Horizon» sponsored by the EU program «The Horizon 2020». At the event the Lake Baikal Foundation CEO Anastasia Tsvetkova presented the Foundation’s projects in the field of ecology and science. The main goal of the workshop was to determine challenges for innovations implementation in the states of the Black Sea Region, as well as to formulate recommendations for stakeholders, so that current challenges could be turned into opportunities for initiatives development in NCOs.
Key recommendations were devoted to creation of educational programs in the sphere of sustainable innovations; carrying out workshops about government relations in NCOs to help them strengthen positions while working with social innovations; toolkit development to stimulate creation of efficient innovations for people in emerging regions; legislative developments in the field of innovations.
Final comprehensive list of recommendation is being set with the participants and will be published later.
