From September 6 to 7, 2017 the Third Eastern Economic Forum was held in Vladivostok, established by the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. The Forum aims to strengthen the ties of the international investment community, increase the competitiveness and investment attractiveness of the Far East, and discuss current socio-economic issues.
In the ecology year, the Forum contained a series of sessions on the environmental agenda of international cooperation. In particular, the development of responsible tourism, the experience of states on the operation of specially protected natural areas were discussed. The CEO at the Lake Baikal Foundation Anastasia Tsvetkova took part in the specialized sessions and held a number of working meetings at the Forum. During the event, the Lake Baikal Foundation had a dialogue on cooperation with the Chinese Tourism Organization in accordance with the Foundation’s statutory goals.
Participation of the Lake Baikal Foundation representative in the event was supported by the member of the Foundation Board of Trustees Alexey Kordichev.
