With the onset of cold weather, the Baikal Nature Reserve School moved from the geo-dome near the checkpoint of the Zabaikalsky National Park to the administrative building of the Federal State Budgetary Institution «Zapovednoe Podlemorye» in the village of Ust-Barguzin (Republic of Buryatia) in order to continue to acquaint children and adults with the rules of respect for nature from there.
The Baikal Nature Reserve School has been functioning in the unique space of the geocupol for 4.5 months, since June 10, 2021, and during this time it has become a platform for more than 250 eco-lessons and excursions on the topic of water conservation and responsible waste management. Now, in order to continue spreading environmental knowledge, making it accessible to a wide audience, the school will resume work in a location more suitable for the winter period, without losing its interactivity and innovation.
The visit to the Bakala Nature Reserve School remains free of charge, to participate in lessons as part of an organized group, you need to send a request to the Department of environmental education and interaction with the media of Zapovednoe Podlemorye by e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org . Prior registration is not required for an individual visit to an ecological and educational site.
We invite everyone to visit the Baikal Nature Reserve School in a new location and remind you that the site will resume its work in geocupol with the onset of the tourist season in the summer of 2022.
The project is being implemented jointly with the Federal State Budgetary Institution «Zapovednoe Podlemorye» with the support of the Presidential Grants Foundation.
