«The third sector in Russia is gaining strength. In spite of their heterogeneity and different social orientation, non-profit organizations are definitely entering a new stage of development. The results of the activities of NPOs become more and more tangible for the target groups and are evident to the public authorities. We have to admit that in the case of the third sector – the third is not an «odd man out». NPOs that have clear mission and strategy of activities are able to provide serious support to the state in solving key social problems. The NPO Laboratory can become an important platform for exchanging experience between non-profit organizations, a point of attracting business attention to the activities of charitable organizations on the new side, a place for establishing partnership relations between the third sector, business, government and the media. Demonstration of socially significant and charitable initiatives on the largest economic platform in the country is a move forward to strengthen the third sector as a whole. We hope that the NPO Laboratory will continue its work at the St. Petersburg and Eastern Economic Forums, CEO at the Lake Baikal Foundation Anastasia Tsvetkova commented on the Rosсongress Foundation initiative.
In the framework of the NPO Laboratory work, the «Baikal Initiative» project, implemented by Lake Baikal Foundation, was also presented.
