Head of the Association «The Great Baikal Trail», one of the founders of the organization. Elena has been developing the NPO «GBT» since 2005 and has extensive experience in the implementation of projects for the construction of trails, in the implementation of educational projects, in working with volunteers and the creation of cohesive teams. Elena is also a creator and lecturer of courses for specialists in trails construction. Over 15 years of professional work in the Baikal region she held 230 international summer projects on the arrangement and reconstruction of trails involving more than 5,300 volunteers. The total length of the constructed and reconstructed trails is about 550 km. The geography of the projects covers all the reserves and national parks of the Baikal region, as well as the territories of the districts and forest sectors. Within the frameworks of her activity Elena constantly shares experience with other regions – Kamchatka, Altai and the Far East.

From 1997 to 2005, Elena worked at the Siberian Institute of Plant Physiology and Biochemistry SB RAS as a junior researcher at the Laboratory of Entomopathology of Woody Plants. She is also geobotany and ecologist. Within the scientific movement at the Institute Elena participated in the development of ecological and physiological problems of the Baikal Siberia biological diversity. The main goal of the survey was to study the mechanisms of phytocoenosis resistance to unfavorable natural and anthropogenic factors, assess the ecological situation and forecast its development, develop methodological bases for conducting complex biological monitoring, justify measures for rational nature management of nature protection. She took part in the inter-institute project «Rare and Endangered Plants of the Selenga Baikal Region». Elena took part in the Irkutsk Region and the Republic of Buryatia expeditions as part of the Entomopathology Laboratory of Woody Plants, Laboratory of Bioindication of Ecosystems and the Herbarium Group.

Elena graduated from the Irkutsk State University, Biology and Soil faculty, and courses at the Public Professions faculty of the ISU, specializing in «Lecturer in the field of ecology and nature protection».
