Natalia Evgenievna Ryazanova

Head of the Laboratory of Geoecology and Sustainable Environmental Management of MGIMO, Associate Professor of the Department of International Complex Problems of Environmental Management and Ecology of MGIMO.

Member of the Expert Council of the Committee on Agrarian and Food Policy and Environmental Management of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, member of the Expert Council of the Committee on Agrarian and Food Policy and Environmental Management of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member States, member of the Expert Council on Sustainable Tourism of the State Duma Committee on Tourism and Tourism Infrastructure Development of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Deputy Chairman of the Commission on Sustainable Development and Ecology of the United Nations Association of Russia (UNA-Russia), member of the working group of the Committee on Sustainable Development and Ecology of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, member of the Working Group on Sustainable Tourism of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

From 1991 to 2000, she served under contract in the Navy (medical and biological research unit) as a reserve midshipman. In 2006, she received the status of Participant of Special Risk Units. From 1998 to 2005 – Senior Lecturer, later Associate Professor at the Department of Natural Science and Mathematics of the University of the Russian Academy of Education.

From 2000 to 2004, she was a postgraduate student at the Institute of Geography of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Department of Physical Geography, until 2005 – Researcher at the Institute of Geography of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Laboratory of Hydrology.

From 2005 – 2010 – Head of the Department of Ecology and Regionalism at URAO, Deputy Head of the Educational and Methodological Department, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business.

From 2007 to 2013 – Associate Professor of the Department of Nature Management and Environmental Safety at the State University of Management (SUM).

The experience of scientific and pedagogical work in educational organizations of higher professional education is 17 years. Author of more than 100 scientific publications. Multiple winner of the V.I. Vernadsky National Ecological Award. Multiple winner of the V.I. Vernadsky National Ecological Award.

Graduated from St. Petersburg State University, Faculty of Geography and Geoecology (1997). Qualification: Physico-geographer-ecologist.

Specialty: Geography. At the Institute of Geography of the Russian Academy of Sciences she defended her thesis for the degree of Candidate of Geographical Sciences on the topic “Multicriteria assessment of pollution of a large water body (on the example of Lake Ladoga)” (2005).
